Latest News on Me and You

Earlier in the week, after leaving messages several days in a row for MBFUM DH receives a return call. News is not good. Something about the "heads"??? being blown or something like that. Engine no longer in warranty because it spent a year or two on the floor of MBFUM's shop. MBFUM says he is fighting with the company but whatever the result, he will do what is necessary and get her back into the water. Time frame? Not in his vocabulary.

The one positive I see is....with gas/fuel so high at least we are saving THAT money. Plus DH really hasn't had time to be out boating anyway. He barely gets home in time to get laundry done, grocery shopping for the week & attend Worship & Bible Study. Then he is gone again.

WHAT?????

What?? It isn't a full moon??? I just know it has to be!!!

Things are so out of alignment. I wake up in a terrible mood this morning, even though I write on my vision board last night right before I go to bed, I CHOOSE to be content. *deep sigh*

I open an e-mail from my friend in Colorado, she is really struggling with issues at work so she is not really in a good mood. I think there MUST be a full moon. So I check my blog page because I have that lunar phase thingy on it and nope. It is not. What IS up then?

DH is suppose to pick-up something tomorrow between 11am & 7pm but he is heading the opposite direction, not toward home. I inquire about that & oops, he forgot he is to do that. He assures me he will be home in time, *deeper sigh*. I hear that a lot and it doesn't happen more often than it does. If I see he isn't going to have time to get here tomorrow, I will once again have to impose on my DXH, this is if he is available. If he isn't then what?

Okay, I am not suppose to worry about things, so I am going to get on with my TO DO list for today and not think about this anymore until tomorrow.

Color Me Sad!!!

Monday I go to the dentist office for my bi-annual cleaning. Going into the dentist office is an extremely horrific experience for me, even for a cleaning. I feel it goes back to my younger years when the family dentist did not believe in preventive dentistry or perhaps didn't know about it?

I recall in 8th grade when a class mate is late for school. She has been to have her teeth cleaned. WHAT??? People actually get their teeth cleaned? The next time I have to go to the dentist. I ask him about this unheard of practice. His reply....you are fine, your teeth do not need cleaning. *rolling eyes* Yep, I go to the dentist only to get a filling or have a tooth pulled until I am an adult. By now much drilling and filling has taken place, along with one or two permanent teeth being extracted. In those days, they have this drill that sounds like...well I don't even know what it sounds like but it is awful and I still shiver when I think about it. Now I can't stand the sound of any type drill, no matter what its purpose.

Anyway, I take my new squish ball with me for this horrific occasion. I normally wring my hands as the hygienist does her thing and while the dentist does his probing during the exam. I think what a wonderful time to have my fun new toy. Of course, the squish ball gets lots of attention from the staff. I make it through the cleaning with the hygienist telling me several times how well I am doing with my hygiene (glad she noticed).

Monday night as I sit watching TV, I start playing with my squish ball, again. Ut oh, I feel something wet....what?? What is that stuff oozing out of my ball? It is a clear gel like substance and it is burning my finger. It makes me think of the blob. (I do my best not to watch scary movies but it seems once I caught a few minutes of the blob). Anyway, I start thinking, as I lay my oozing squish ball on a napkin on the kitchen counter, what if it keeps growing and comes after me.......... It seems it isn't going to pursue me so I relax about that. *whew*

I am so sad for a few minutes. I decide not to mourn my loss. No, instead I am going to remember the fun I had with it!!!

ps. I will not be purchasing a replacement. That gel could be dangerous. Ya, just nevah know.

My New Toy!!!

We have several errands to do today. First we stop and purchase cards, cards, & more cards. Then we go to TGI Fridays. DH goes in and places our to-go order. Next is Pier 1 Imports where we have the best time looking around. The purpose of the stop is to get spray air freshener (I know, not being green but sometimes ya just gotta not). Immediately upon entering the store we spy a table that says Easter clearance, 75% off. We HAVE to stop at that table because it has chocolates. That is his thing, not mine. They have these really cute boxes, my thing, with chocolates in them. His chocolates are in mini-baskets.
He gets his, I get mine.

We browse around some, now off to the air freshener.
On the way to the Buttercream Vanilla (smells as yummy as it sounds), my fav, I spy Biscotti on clearance. You know I like a deal. We find the tester and I make the, almost, fatal error of testing it. Yucky!!! *Cringe*. None of that, thank you. Okay, now I have two cans of my Buttercream Vanilla (one for each bath). Browse a little more, then I insist that we pay and leave. I am seeing way too many things that I like but don't need, most is regular price, too. While DH is standing in line to make our purchases I see an interesting little deal. Realize they have some on display. They look almost like real flowers in vases and they are scented. Near fatal error #2. I pick one up and take a big sniff. WHEW!!! The male clerk chuckles and says something like, they are strong. That is an understatement. Next a little girl catches my eye. Being me, I have to watch to see what is holding her interest and she has this squish ball. But as she continues to squeeze it, I realize it isn't your normal squish ball. These are special. I go over and play with one, decide I just have to have one and I throw it over for DH to purchase not realizing he has already checked out or the transaction is almost complete anyway. But he, being the sweetie he is, doesn't say a word. He just slides that card again. LOL. We finally get out of there and finish our errands, pick-up our food and head home.

The Squish has begun.

Now, how cute is that????

Boat Update

The boat has been in and out on the water several times in the past few weeks. Today, my DH sees that she is back in the slip. The first of the week MBFUM (Mr. Boat Fixer Upper Man) said he has her at the shop. Since we are having rain, rain, and more rain (actually it isn't raining today), the walkway to the boat is underwater. The yacht club manager offers to take DH to the boat in their little dingy but DH tells him it isn't necessary. Bottom line right now, we do not know if her gears are shifting properly or not. So the saga continues......
